Tempe: Eat, Drink, Enjoy!

Head due east of downtown Phoenix, AZ on highway 202 and you’ll come upon a lively city in the midst of an exciting transformation. Once seen primarily as a college town in the shadows of Phoenix, Tempe has undergone significant changes over the past decade, making it a thriving city unto itself.

On top of housing the largest university in the country (ASU), Tempe is also the home to several well-known corporate headquarters such as Wells Fargo, Motorola, Go Daddy, and Edward Jones. It is also the dwelling of a relatively young, affluent, and well-educated community of people: the average person living here is 28 years old, makes over $60,000 a year, and has at least a bachelor’s degree . Not bad for a city whose university was labeled as the “best party school in the US” by Playboy magazine (just an FYI– ASU also happens to have some fairly well known professors like Paul Davies and Lynn Nelson too).
